I agree with this statement to a large extent, and so networking for me is part of my daily bread towards becoming a true man of valour.
This programme just like every gathering of like-minded people (in this case entrepreneurs) is a platform to make friends and network. I have heard stories of lives that were changed after attending this programme but at the same time, I have also heard of those who remained stagnant even after attending.

I don’t know about you but when I attend such programmes, I usually go prepared and one of my goals is usually to find myself a good customer or mentor before the end of the programme.
By the end of my FATE Foundation Aspiring entrepreneurs program, I got myself hooked to a number of mentors but ultimately became very close to Sam Asekunowo, the author of the power of plan B. Today, I usually consult him (for free) whenever I need to make a major business decision.
In a future post, I would talk about my latest experiment with mentoring and mentorship because I believe it is a critical part of success.
Takeaway tip: Find yourself a good and experienced mentor, whether paid or free who would be willing to work with you to grow your business.
4. Value for Money
The truth is that the FATE Foundation EEP Programme is highly subsidized. I believe that what you are requested to pay is child’s play compared to the value you get.
Most of the established entrepreneurs who leave their businesses to come seat with participants are millionaires and you would agree with me that time is money. Now, when they come to class, participants literally tear them apart with questions and requests for one favour or the other.
About the FATE Foundation EEP Programme
EEP stands for Emerging Entrepreneurs Program – it is designed for Entrepreneurs who wish to take their businesses to the next level. It is 9 week-long, hands on, highly interactive programme that holds twice a year.
Facilitators are usually Chief Executive Officers or Top management officials of medium size and large-scale organisations who have combined experience of over 200 years.
The FATE Foundation EEP programme course content includes Risk analysis, business strategy, ethics, marketing, networking, negotiation skills, innovation, leadership and lots more.
In the future, I hope they would include an Internet Marketing related session (I’ll try make them see the reason why) because as far as I am concerned, it is silly for any Entrepreneur in today’s world to assume that they don’t need the Internet to grow.
