July 10th is a Special Day for Me.

Today is indeed a special day for/to me!

Do you know why? Simply because I am a year older today. Happy Birthday to me!

I have received 100s of birthday wishes but the one I really liked most was sent by my friend, partner and mentor, Edwin Edebiri;

“Happy CFA, There is a rumour going on that you are a year older? May be it said your are a year wiser? Was it a year stronger or healthier? What ever it is, enjoy it with a happier attitude. Happy birthday my friend. Stay happy Happily, Edwin.”

I honestly love this well thought out birthday wishes from Mr. Ed., quite frankly he hit the nail on the head for me. Can you guess what this is all about for me?

To be Happy always…. You heard that right H-a-p-p-y! I want to be happy, serve a happy God, be a happy Christian, be a happy teacher, trainer and coach, be a happy author and writer, be a happy husband and father and most importantly lead a happy life until the day that I die.

One this special day, I make a commitment to always be Happy :)

Being happy has nothing to do with the amount of money you have, otherwise Hollywood stars should have been the happiest. It has nothing to do with the number of babes (guys) you have at your disposal otherwise King Solomon who had 1,000 women would not have said vanity upon vanity, I count it all but vanity.

Let me conclude by reminding us that;

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Lamentations 3:22

I count it a great privilege to be able to witness yet another year on God’s earth. My late sister would have wished to be here but alas, her time on earth ended the day she passed on.
